Online Seminars in Search of Opportunities between Zimbabwe and Cuba

Harare, April 22, 2025 – Ministries and institutions from Zimbabwe and Cuba continued their online seminars today with the aim of strengthening bilateral cooperation in various areas.

 

Ambassador Susellys Pérez Mesa attended the second day of these meetings, which included the participation of officials from the Zimbabwean Ministries of Foreign Affairs and International Trade and the Cuban Ministries of Foreign Trade and Investment, as well as Paul Chikawa, Head of the Cuban Diplomatic Mission in Havana.

 

The exchange focused on monitoring ongoing projects and identifying new potential areas for business and cooperation.

 

Representatives from the Zimbabwean side also participated, including representatives from the Ministries of Sports, Recreation, Culture and the Arts, Health, and Agriculture, as well as the Investment Promotion and Trade agencies, and the Confederation of Industries.

 

Cuba also participated with executives and specialists from Biocubafarma, Labiofam, the Center for State Control of Medicines, Equipment, and Medical Devices, the National Sports Institute, the Chamber of Commerce, Procuba, and Gempil, among other entities.

 

During the first session last week, Ambassador Pérez Mesa was accompanied by Dr. María Eugenia García, head of the 14th Cuban Medical Brigade, which provides services in several hospitals in Bulawayo and Harare. Second Secretary Zailin Gaulhiac Moragues attended this session.
