Oustanding Cuban sports figures training in Oslo

Oslo, January 11, 2023. In the early hours of January 10th, a Cuban high-level delegation of Greco-Roman Wrestling arrived in Oslo, made up of the renowned trainer Raúl Trujillo Díaz and the athletes Luis Alberto Orta Sánchez (67 Kg) and Oscar Pino Hinds (130 kg).

During their stay, which will last until the 18th, they will carry out training sessions for the Wrestling Grand Prix, which will take place from 20 to 22 in Nice, France, and the First Ranking Series, to be held from 1 to 5 February, in Zagreb, Croatia.

The Cuban ambassador, Maité Rivero Torres, wished them a fruitful stay in the Norwegian capital, as well as success in their upcoming competitive commitments.

Orta Sánchez was crowned Olympic champion in Tokyo 2021 and Pino Hinds won the gold medal in the 2022 Pan American Wrestling Championship, a result added to the silver medal won in the 2019 World Championship. Trujillo, for his part, was included last year in the Hall of Fame of this sport discipline. (Embassy of Cuba in Norway)
