Accra, 29 August 2025. – Today, the Embassy of Cuba in the Ghanaian capital welcomed Dr. Hanna Louisa Bissiw, Women’s Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Administrator of the Government of Ghana’s Minerals Development Fund (MDF), and former Member of Parliament.
This remarkable politician and empowered Ghanaian woman was received by Ambassador Julio E. Pujol Torres to discuss future areas of cooperation, while reaffirming her unwavering commitment to what she considers her second homeland. The former Deputy Minister of Food and Agriculture expressed that she carries “half a Cuban heart” within her. The pride with which she speaks of the Island—where she studied and graduated—is evident on her face, and she does not conceal it.
