Kingston, Jamaica, 19 November 2020. On Thursday afternoon, the Cuban Ambassador to Jamaica, Mrs. Inés Fors Fernández, paid a courtesy visit on the Most Honourable Percival James Patterson, former Prime Minister of Jamaica and unquestionable friend of Cuba.
At the meeting, which took place in a fraternal atmosphere, the prominent Jamaican politician and the Cuban diplomat discussed issues of bilateral and international interest.
PJ Patterson praised Cuba's international medical cooperation and reiterated his denunciation of the economic, financial and commercial blockade of the United States against the island. In reference to Cuba-CARICOM relations, he acknowledged Cuba’s role in seeking regional unity to face the common problems of our peoples and was emphatic in stating: "When I say 'the Caribbean', I always include Cuba."
