Islamabad, January 8, 2019. The Minister of State for National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination of Pakistan, Dr. Zafar Mirza, received today the ambassador of Cuba, Gabriel Tiel Capote, who delivered a letter-invitation from his Cuban counterpart to visit Cuba. The Minister accepted the invitation with pleasure and requested the Ambassador to convey his thanks to the Minister of Public Health of Cuba, visit to be processed through diplomatic channels. The meeting was an occasion to analyze the possibilities of cooperation in aspects of the health sector of greatest interest to both parties. The Ambassador highlighted the progress made in the health of the Cuban people despite the inhuman economic, commercial and financial blockade that Cuba has been suffering for 6 decades and that has intensified with the current US administration in which the Pakistani minister agreed.
