Islamabad, January 25, 2019. The additional secretary Americas of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan, ambassador Aftab Ahmad Khokher, who also serves as Director General of the Foreign Service Academy, received the Cuban ambassador, Gabriel Tiel Capote, who handed him over a copy in English of the Declaration of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cuba in which the threat of a new aggressive step against Cuba is exposed if there is a suspension of Title III of the Helms-Burton Law and the implications for Cuba of the application of the aforementioned Title III and its extraterritoriality. The additional secretary reaffirmed the traditional position of Pakistan in support of the Cuban Resolution that demands the end of the Blockade and was interested in knowing details of this new aggressive step of the government of the United States against Cuba.
