Palmerston North´s Festival of Culture

Wellington, February 24th, 2024. The Cuban Ambassador, Luis Ernesto Morejón, attended to Palmerston North´s Festival of Cultures.

Mayor of the city, Grant Smith, welcomed all the diplomatic corps and during his speech he invited us to get to know and learn about the history, traditions, and cultural wealth of people all around the world who took part in this event.  

On behalf of the City Council, Mayor Smith thanked the engraving of "Morro de la Cabaña" by the Cuban plastic artist Yosvany Martínez as a gift from the Cuban Ambassador.

The opening ceremony of the traditional Latin American Film Festival this year will be dedicated to Cuba for the celebration of 25th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relation between our countries.
