Panafricanists pay tribute to the new Barbadian Ambassador to CARICOM.

The Cuban and Venezuelan diplomatic missions were invited to join the tribute that Pan-African solidarity organizations rendered to the lawyer friend David Comissiong, President of the Clement Payne Movement and Coordinator of the Caribbean Chapter of the International Network in Defense of Humanity, for his appointment as the new Ambassador of Barbados to CARICOM, in a simple but moving ceremony in which numerous political and social activists expressed their recognition and conveyed their confidence that they will be able to represent the genuine interests of the Barbadian and Caribbean peoples; In this context, the Cuban ambassador, Francisco Fernández, stressed that this designation is a tacit acknowledgment of the progressive trajectory of the solidary leader and opens the possibility for him to deploy several initiatives in favor of the Caribbean and regional integration that is so needed in the current political scenario. In his words of thanks, Comissiong undertook to defend the interests of Caribbean nations, promote the priority issues that affect those nations, proselytize so that the essence of progressive political processes such as the Bolivarian Revolution is better understood, and promote a greater relationship with revolutionary Cuba, whose work is considered essential for the development of our region.
