The Hague, September 22, 2023. The ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Anet Pino Rivero, attended the inaugural event of the Chair of Hispanic Studies that took place at Radboud University.
During the presentation made by Professor Brigitte Adriaensen, she made reference to the work: Cuban Counterpoint of Tobacco and Sugar, by the prominent Cuban ethnologist and anthropologist Fernando Ortiz.
Likewise, this was a favorable space to highlight the contributions of the Spanish language to the international cultural heritage, as well as the importance of preserving the traditions of Spanish-speaking countries.
Professor Adriaensen's interesting presentation served to enhance the attendees' interest in Latin American culture.
