Paying courtesy call on Mombasa Governor

Cuban Ambassador to the Republic of Kenya, H.E. Inés Fors Fernández, paid a courtesy call on Mombasa Governor Abdulswamad Shariff Nassir.

During the warm and productive conversation both parties explored the deep cultural similarities between Mombasa and Cuba -from music and heritage to the strong sense of community- that defines Cuban and Kenya peoples.

They also explore opportunities for medical training of young people from Mombasa, drawing from Cuba’s globally respected strengths in medical education and healthcare

The Cuban Ambassador and the Mombasa Governor expressed interest in building people-centred partnerships that strengthen ties between the Caribbean island and Mombasa.
