People's National Party of Jamaica congratulates Cuban president on re-election

Kingston, 24 April 2023. The People's National Party of Jamaica (PNP) congratulated President Miguel Díaz-Canel on his re-election by the National Assembly of People's Power.

In a statement issued by Mark Golding, President of the PNP and Leader of the Opposition, this victory was seen as a testament to the confidence that the people of Cuba place in President Diaz-Canel and acknowledged the continued progress and achievements made by our country under his leadership.

The text highlighted Cuba's contributions to the Caribbean nations and the world community at large; as well as the PNP's commitment to continue working to strengthen the historic ties of brotherhood between Cuba and Jamaica.
