Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Singapore receives Ambassador of Cuba.

Singapore, 28 March 2024. On Thursday afternoon, the Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Singapore, Mr. Albert Chua, received the new Ambassador of Cuba, Lisbet Quesada Luna, in a courtesy call.

The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs welcomed the Cuban diplomat and referred to the success of the V Round of bilateral political consultations between Cuba and Singapore, co-chaired by him and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, Mrs. Josefina Vidal Ferreiro, last October.

For her part, the Ambassador thanked Singapore for its support for Cuba's Resolution against the U.S. blockade every year at the UN, along with the overwhelming majority of the international community, as well as the speech of the Permanent Representative of Singapore to the UN on behalf of ASEAN countries in the debate.

Both sides reviewed the main issues on the bilateral agenda and their future projection. The occasion was propitious to ratify the mutual will to deepen and broaden bilateral relations and cooperation.
