The Philippines accedes to a request to award the Nobel Prize to Cuban doctors.

Kuala Lumpur, July 20- The cultural and friendship organization with Cuba in the Philippines, PHILCUBA yesterday announced its endorsement of the request to present Cuban doctors with the Nobel Peace Prize.

The communication was made yesterday within the framework of the online forum "Highlights of the Cuban health system, responses to covid 19, advances in medical research and international solidarity medical work" organized by that organization.

PHILCUBA argued its union to the international claim for the awarding of this award, that Cuban doctors deserve this recognition for so many years of disinterested, humanistic collaboration and for promoting international solidarity and peace.

The forum was also the scene of the condemnation of the United States blockade and its policies to discredit Cuban medical collaboration.

The Philippines is the second country in Southeast Asia with the most cases of covid 19, registering more than 60,000 accumulated cases and 22,000 patients currently recovered.
