The photo exhibition "Havana 500 years", by the Cuban photojournalist, Vladimir Molina Espada, inaugurated 20 days ago at the House of Photography in Azerbaijan, has had a good attendance of the Azeri public and foreign visitors who visit the historic center of the country every day.
Shamil Pashdamikov, promoter of the House of Photography, stressed that during Holy Week and the realization in this capital of the Formula 1 competitions increased the number of visitors who observed the beauty of Havana.
He also commented that many Azerbaijanis inquired about the current situation of the Island and others showed interest in visiting it.
The photo-exhibition was inaugurated on April 16 and highlights the architecture of the capital of all Cubans on the five hundredth anniversary of its foundation.
At the opening the Cuban ambassador, Alfredo Nieves Portuondo, thanked the support received for the Cuban photographer to be the first foreign professional to exhibit in such an emblematic place.
The exhibition was organized by the Administration of the Historical and Architectural Reserve of Icherisheher in the Old Baku, the House of Photography and the Embassy of the Republic of Cuba in the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Havana is considered one of the oldest cities in the New World and recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage.
