PNPYO delegation visits Cuba

Havana, 24 May 2023. A delegation of the Jamaica People's National People's Party Youth Organisation (PNPYO) led by its president, Senator Gabriela Morris, is on a working visit to Havana for exchanges with the Young Communist League of Cuba (UJC) of Cuba and to participate in the meeting of the General Council of the World Federation of Democratic Youth, whose sessions begin today.

As part of the collateral programme, the delegation held a meeting the previous day with Mirthia Julia Brossad Oris, head of the International Relations Department of the Young Communist League of Cuba (UJC), in which the parties exchanged on various topics of interest. During the meeting, both parties agreed on the importance of strengthening the links between the two organisations, giving continuity to the historical ties of friendship and cooperation between the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) and the National People's Party (PNP).

In the sessions of the General Council, scheduled to take place between 24 and 28 May, the representatives of the PNPYO will be able to learn about the impact of imperialist aggressions and the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the US government on the daily lives of Cubans; as well as the creative resistance of the Cuban Revolution, especially of the youth.
