Kingston, 8 October 2025. The Ambassador of Cuba to Jamaica, Fermín Quiñones Sánchez, held a farewell meeting with the leadership of the People's National Party Youth Organisation (PNPYO), headed by its president Gabriela Morris.
During the exchange, the Cuban diplomat provided an update on the impact of the criminal blockade imposed by the United States government against the Cuban people over the past year and referred to the upcoming vote on the resolution ‘Necessity of ending the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States against Cuba’ at the United Nations General Assembly.
He thanked the members of this youth organisation for their historical support and solidarity with Cuba, also highlighting the need to continue strengthening ties with young Cubans.
For her part, Gabriela acknowledged the unwavering support and camaraderie of the Cuban people and government with the PNPYO, while reaffirming that Cuba can always count on their support.
