Yesterday night, a farewell dinner for the Laotian delegation that will participate in the 9th Congress of the CDR in Cuba took place at the Residence of the Cuban Ambassador in Lao People's Democratic Republic.
The dinner was attended by the member of the Political Bureau of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party (LPRP) and the President of the Lao Front for National Development (LFDN), Dr. Xaysomphone Phomvihane, the Party Central Committee Member and President of its Committee for Foreign Relations , Madame, Sounthone Xayachack, the members of the delegation to Cuba, Mr. Khambay Dumlat, Party Central Committee Member and Vice-President of the LFDN, Somphasong Vedsaphom, Head of the Department of Laotian Citizens Resident Abroad of the LFDN and Chatoulinh Sihaphom, Officer of the America and Europe Department and Head of the Division of the Americas of the Lao Chancery. Also present were the Vice President of the Foreign Relations Committee of the CC LPRP, Comrade. Somdy Bounkhoun, the Deputy Director General of the Europe and America Department of the Chancellery, Mr. Sisavath Kamsaly and the officials of that Unit, Chitapong Sayavouth and Saysamone Sengmala, and the Director of International Relations of the LFDN, Xaythida Phomvihane.
Comrade Xaysomphone Phomvihane, thanking the organization of the activity and regretting not being able to preside over the delegation on this occasion, referred to the relationships that have been maintained for so many years by LFND and CDR Officers whose expression will be fixed in a Memorandum of Understanding that will be signed on the occasion of the visit of this delegation.
The Ambassador of Cuba, Pablo A. Rodríguez Vidal wished a good trip and successes during the stay of the delegation in Cuba, which he said, he is sure will be fruitful and one more step for the closer relations between both organizations.
