The Hague, March 20th, 2024. Representatives of the Cuban Embassy in the Netherlands offered a lecture on the Cuban economy to students of the Business Specialization in Latin America at the University of Applied Sciences in The Hague.
They offered an overview of the external sector of the Cuban economy, data on the volumes of exports and imports and the main exportable areas of Cuba. They presented the portfolio of opportunities for Foreign Investment on the island, highlighting the prioritized sectors and the broad legal framework established for the development of this activity.
The genocidal blockade imposed by the United States government against the Cuban people, for more than 60 years, was highlighted as the main obstacle to Cuba's economic development and was the topic that arose the greatest interest in the debate held with the students.
