The Hague, 30 November 2023. At the Leiden University Medical Center, the Cuba Juntos Symposium was held, in which a group of students who participated in an exchange of experiences in Cuba, offered the results of their research.
Topics such as prevention, communication between doctors and nurses, the care and attention of older adults and the programs carried out in Cuba to improve the quality of life of older adults were some of the issues addressed by the students.
The exchange served to share with other doctor and nurse students their experiences in different Cuban institutions and neighborhoods. They visited several Grandfather's Houses, rehabilitation centers, medical offices and organoponics, both for supplying the institutions and the population. Emphasis was placed on the importance that Cuba gives to disease prevention and the education provided to the population in this regard.
