The new head of the Cuban Mission in Vietnam, Orlando Nicolás Hernández Guillén, presented today before the General Directorate of Protocol of the State of Vietnam the Copies of Style that accredit him as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba in that Asian nation.
Upon being received by Director General Nguyen Viet Dung, the Cuban Ambassador expressed that it constitutes a high honor to represent the island in a sister country, united with Cuba by special feelings of friendship and solidarity, promoted by the historical leaders Fidel Castro and Ho Chi Minh.
Both representatives agreed on the potential of Vietnam and Cuba to further boost their multifaceted ties, after recently arriving at six decades of diplomatic relations.
Dung, for his part, wished the Ambassador success in his new assignment and expressed his confidence that Vietnam and Cuba will continue to preserve their excellent political relations and promote initiatives to expand cooperation in the economic and commercial sphere.
