Kampala. At noon on April 29, Osisiogu Osikenyi E., president of the All African Students Union was received by Tania Perez Xiqués, Ambassador of Cuba.
After thanking the possibility of visiting the Cuban Embassy and thanking, on behalf of the new generations, everything Cuba has done and does for the African continent, the African student leader presented the Cuban diplomat with the Medal of Honour, for the sustained and growing relationship of the diplomatic mission with Ugandan student organizations and youth leaders in the region.
The Cuban Ambassador indicated that she received the recognition on behalf of the people of Cuba and in particular the Cuban student and youth organizations. Likewise, she referred to the importance of the relationship between the new generations of Cuba and Africa to guarantee the construction of a relationship adjusted to its times and that provides continuity to the historical relations between the Caribbean island and the African continent.
The student delegation also included Mauso Brian – Deputy Executive Secretary East African Students Union, Okori Brian – Finance Secretary East African Students Union, Ajistya Joash – Pubilcity National Students Association Rwanda and Okweny Joseph – Project Coordinator Uganda National Students Association.
