Oslo, January 24, 2026. The President of the Communist Party of Norway (NKP), Comrade Runa Evensen, visited the Cuban Embassy in Norway and held a cordial meeting with Cuban Ambassador Hugo Ramos Milanés.
This was an excellent opportunity for a broad exchange on current international affairs and to renew their mutual commitment to strengthening the bonds of friendship and cooperation between the Communist Party of Cuba and the NKP, as well as between the peoples of Norway and Cuba.
The President of the NKP reaffirmed her Party's commitment to militant solidarity with the Cuban Revolution, particularly in the current circumstances of intensified economic persecution of Cuba by the US government, the fierce campaign of toxic propaganda, and the continued threats of military aggression.
The Cuban ambassador expressed deep gratitude for the message received on the occasion of the 67th anniversary of the Triumph of the Cuban Revolution, as well as the statement of solidarity and heartfelt condolences sent on the occasion of the deaths in combat of the 32 Cuban heroes during the US aggression against Venezuela.
The party leader also received recognition and gratitude for the close collaborative relationship between the Party and the Cuban embassy in Oslo and its representatives.
Joint actions that both parties intend to carry out during the current year were outlined.
