Havana, May 14 The president of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel, condemned today "the flagrant violations of the human rights of the Palestinian people" and demanded the immediate cessation of the Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip.
"The Zionist barbarism and the cloak of impunity that the US has spread over these crimes with its support for the Israeli regime insults the world," the president added through his Twitter account.
Previously, the island's foreign minister, Bruno Rodríguez, also called for an end to these attacks by Israel.
"The UN Security Council should act and prevent it," wrote the Foreign Relations head on his Twitter account.
During the night of this Thursday and early this morning, Israel launched up to fifty bombardments with reactive and field artillery in about 40 minutes.
For their part, the Palestinian resistance entities fired more than 200 missiles during the night from mobile ramps which left their locations to avoid detection by electronic means of the enemy army.
In its most recent part, the Palestinian health media reported more than 120 dead, including 31 minors, including a woman and her three children during the hellish night this Thursday, in addition to 830 injured.
The Israeli media identifies the victims as members of the Hamas movement, in control of the strip, and other groups opposed to the military occupation of Tel Aviv.
The UN Security Council still does not express a position on the escalation of the conflict, while many nations in that area condemn the increase in violence.
