Yesterday afternoon, the President of the Hellenic Parliament, Mr. Konstantinos Tasoulas, received the Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba, Mr. Aramis Fuente Hernández.
During the pleasant exchange, they recognized the excellent relations that exist between both States and their Parliaments and the common willingness to continue strengthening the cooperation of the two Parliamentary Friendship Groups.
The President of Parliament thanked the Ambassador for Cuba's support for the Greek candidacy for his election as a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council for the period 2025-26. Both referred to the solid foundations of cooperation between both countries in various fields and in international organizations.
The Ambassador reported on the current situation in his country, thanked Greece for its support for the UN General Assembly Resolution against the blockade and highlighted the efforts being made to strengthen relations between both countries.
Present at the meeting were the deputy Mr. Konstantinos Vlassis, president of the Greece-Cuba Parliamentary Group and the Diplomatic Advisor to the President of Parliament, Ambassador Mr. Konstantinos Oikonomidis.
