The President of Ireland sends solidarity greetings to the people of Cuba.

Dublin January 29, 2019. The Ambassador of Cuba in Ireland, Hugo René Ramos Milanés had the opportunity to greet President Michael D. Higgins during the reception of the Chiefs of Mission of the accredited diplomatic corps, on the occasion of the New Year.

During the conversation between the Ambassador and the President, after the Cuban diplomat conveyed heartfelt congratulations to the Head of State and his wife and expressed the best wishes for the prosperity of the Irish people, President Higgins expressed his solidarity greeting to the Cuban people in occasion of the tornado that last Sunday caused severe damage in the capital. Higgins made it known that the Cuban people have a special place in their hearts.
