President of the Lao PDR maintains positive exchange with Cuban Prime Minister
Vientiane, September 2023. The active agenda of Comrade Thongloun Sisoulith, president of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, included a positive exchange with Cuban Prime Minister Manuel Marrero Cruz, within the framework of his state visit.
Cuba and Laos reaffirmed their willingness to strengthen relations and expand cooperation, based on the potential for the development of projects in sectors such as biotechnology, education and combating natural disasters.
There was no lack of gratitude for the traditional and consistent support of Laos to the battle to eliminate the blockade, while Cuba's permanent support for that brother country was reiterated, with which we will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations next year 2024.
