President of the Lao PDR will make a state visit to Cuba

Vientiane September 7, 2023. The President of Laos, Thongloun Sisoulith, will lead a delegation to pay a state visit to the Republic of Cuba, and later attend the Summit of the Group of 77 and China.

The visit aims to deepen and strengthen the historical relations of friendship, solidarity and cooperation between Laos and Cuba and promote the necessary ties in the pressing issues of technology and innovation, in which the Lao Foreign Ministry agrees.

The visit of President Sisoulith constitutes an important milestone and boost to bilateral relations that are approaching the 50th anniversary in the coming year 2024
