Vientiane, October 3, 2025. We have the will to continue expanding our historic relations with Laos, assured President Miguel Diaz-Canel, while welcoming Thongsavanh Phomvihane, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Lao People's Democratic Republic.
The Head of State described the Lao Foreign Minister's official visit as “further evidence of the excellent state of our ties.”
His stay in Cuba marks a milestone in the mutual will of both parties to continue expanding and strengthening them.
Comrade Thongsavanh Phomvihane, who is on an official visit to Cuba, expressed gratitude for the warm reception during this, his first stay on the Island since assuming office as Lao Foreign Minister.
“We highly value your recent visit to Laos,” stated the diplomat, while reaffirming his country's intention to “continue strengthening the relations that exist between both nations.”
