Esteban Lazo Hernández, President of the National Assembly of People's Power and the Council of State of the Republic of Cuba, was received by Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye, who was accompanied by Amb. Z. Levent Gümrükçü, Director General for the Americas, and other senior Foreign Ministry officials.
During the meeting, both personalities reviewed the state of bilateral relations in different spheres and their potential for development.
They also discussed all the initiatives and actions to be developed relations between the two countries, particularly those related to raising the level of bilateral economic, trade and financial relations to place them at the same level of good political relations, friendship and cooperation between Cuba and Türkiye.
The President of the Cuban Parliament was accompanied by:
- Deputy María Yolanda Ferrer Gómez, President of the International Relations Commission.
- Emilio Lozada García, Ambassador and General Director of Bilateral Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba.
- Dr. Alejandro F. Díaz Palacios, Ambassador of Cuba in Türkiye.
