President of Parliament of Malaysia receives Cuban Ambassador

Kuala Lumpur, March 15 – The Speaker of the House of Representatives (lower house of the Malaysian parliament) Tan Sri Datuk Seri Panglima Pandikar Amin Haji Mulia, welcomed the Cuban ambassador to Malaysia, Ibete Fernandez.

During the cordial meeting, the parties discussed the functioning of parliaments in both countries and the possibilities of developing bilateral relations in that sector. The head of the Malaysian Parliament, convey to the ambassador his desire to visit Cuba.

The Malaysian parliament consists of two chambers, and 292 members, of whom 222 are parliamentarians and 70 are senators. They meet in regular sessions three times a year.
