St George, January 26th. The Ambassador of Cuba in Granada Ivette Martínez bid farewell to the president of the Senate, Honorable Dessima Williams and the Speaker of the House of Representatives Honorable Leo Catto who are traveling to Havana to participate in the VI Conference for World Balance.
Both legislatures were invited by the president of the National Assembly of People's Power, Esteban Lazo, to participate in the Parliamentary Forum that will take place within the framework of the event.
Among the topics that generated the interest of senior officials are: climate resilience actions, state sovereignty, work with young people in the face of social challenges and gender policies.
For the president of the Granada senate, "finding in Jose Martí a reference for the analysis of these issues is one of the benefits that this great event will have and that upon our return we can share with our colleagues."
The Honorable Dessima William traveled to Cuba last September and participated in the Parliamentary Diplomatic event. On that occasion she was received by the President of the Republic Miguel Diaz Canel and developed an intense bilateral agenda.
