President of South Africa calls for an end to the blockade against Cuba at the UN General Assembly

Pretoria, September 20, 2023 - The President of the Republic of South Africa, H.E. Mr. Matamela Cyril Ramaphosa, called for an end to the criminal blockade of the United States of America against Cuba in his speech at the General Debate of the 78th Session of the United Nations General Assembly.

In his speech, the South African president stated, "South Africa continues to call for the end of the economic embargo imposed 60 years ago against Cuba, an embargo that has caused untold damage to the Cuban economy and people."
