President of the Supreme Court of Turkey receives the Cuban Ambassador.

Ankara, February 5, 2020. The President of the Court of Cassation of Turkey, country's main supreme court, Ismail Rustu Cirit, received the Cuban ambassador Luis Alberto Amorós Núñez at the headquarters of the Turkish magistracy.

At the cordial meeting, the two representatives agreed on the importance of continuing to strengthen bilateral relations in the judicial field and in highlighting the will of both States in this regard. Similarly, both parties talked about recognition given by the United Nations Organization to the Declaration adopted in the so-called Fourth International Summit of High Courts, held in Istanbul in October 2018, in which there was an important Cuban representation.

The Turkish leader highlighted the enormous sympathy aroused by Cuba and its Revolution in the Turkish people, including for its example of resistance to attempts at foreign domination.

The Antillean diplomat thanked these expressions of affection and updated on the reinforcement of the blockade against Cuba by the United States and acknowledged Turkey's historical support against this aggressive policy. On the other hand, Amorós gave a brief explanation about the X International Meeting of Justice and Law in Havana to be held next May.
