Jakarta, July 22.- The digital newspaper Republik Merdeka published an article publicizing the statements of the Cuban Foreign Minister, Bruno Rodríguez, in which he warned that calls on social networks for a humanitarian intervention on the island would open the doors to a eventual US military intervention.
The text states that the Cuban leadership, headed by President Miguel Díaz-Canel, considers that the US Government is directly involved in the riots that occurred on July 11 in Cuba, while quoting the words of the Cuban Foreign Minister: "I accuse the Government of The United States to be directly involved and have serious responsibility in the incidents that occurred on July 11, and will be responsible for the consequences that occur. "
Likewise, the article stated that after the incidents, the American president, Joe Biden, expressed that the United States would be with the Cuban people, noting that this statement has been considered hypocritical by the Cubans, in the face of the strong and intensified sanctions of the United States. In the middle of the Pandemic, they have triggered an economic crisis in the country.
Noting that while the riots were taking place, there were calls from the United States for a humanitarian intervention by that country to Cuba, the article said that the head of Cuban diplomacy warned that a humanitarian intervention would only pave the way for the US army to enter to the island and that those who ask for a humanitarian intervention in Cuba must be warned that they not only violate the laws of the countries from where they carry out these acts, but also violate Cuban ones.
The article ends by quoting the words of the Cuban Foreign Minister: "To ask for a humanitarian intervention in Cuba is to ask for a US military intervention."
