Press Realease: Fidel´s legacy inspires peoples of the world.

New York, 13 September 2017. The presentations of the book Knockout, Fidel Castro visits South Bronx, by Puerto Rican activist Julio Pabón, and Prensa Latina's exhibition of photos of the Commander-in-Chief served as an excuse for the Cuban Mission to the United Nations to pay tribute to the figure of the man who built a sovereign, independent and resilient nation proud of itself.

Diplomats accredited to the UN and members of the solidarity movement with Cuba accompanied the members of the Cuban representation to the international body in the tribute to Fidel Castro.

Venezuelan Ambassador to the United Nations, Rafael Ramírez, described Fidel Castro as one of the giants of history and a builder of that better future possible for humanity.

The Permanent Representative of Angola, Ismael Gaspar Martins and the Observer Mission of Palestine to the United Nations, Riyad Mansour, emphasized the contribution of the revolutionary leader to the struggle for justice and independence of the oppressed peoples.

For her part, Cuban Permanent Representative to the UN, Anayansi Rodríguez, thanked the broad participation in the event and highlighted the legacy of the Commander-in-Chief of the Cuban Revolution, as well as the pride felt by all those who in life knew the Commander and witnessed his work and forward-looking vision for Cuba and the world.
