Cuba's transition to the "New Normality" continues smoothly

Since the reopening of the country to the "New Normality", the implementation of the measures on this phase continues smoothly.

The borders have been opened to international tourism, a sector that is beginning to successfully increase its presence in the country.

Important scientific and technological cooperation projects are also being set up along with developed and developing countries for the production of vaccines against the pandemic in other countries. In this sense, Italian volunteers were received in the country to participate in the clinical trial of the Soberana Plus-Turin vaccine, for people who are both recovering from Covid-19 or people who have not being infected and are immunized with other vaccines.

There have been well-deserved days of homage to the scientists who have participated in the development of the Covid-19 vaccines, while the mass vaccination campaign continues to step up, including in pediatric age groups. From the epidemiological point of view, the number of infected and deceased people in the country continues to decrease.

On the other hand, the school year started safely and smoothly on Monday, November 15. The country's educational centers celebrated Student's Day on November 17, a date of remembrance and tribute to the anti-fascist struggle.

The 502nd anniversary of the founding of Havana was a day of special significance for Cubans as well as the opening of the 14th Havana Biennial, along with other activities of cultural, artistic and socioeconomic impact.

From November 18 to 20, the "Moncada" defensive exercise will take place, a traditional celebration carried out for several years. This exercise will culminate with the National Defense Day, an important day of preparation with broad popular and community participation.

Peace and tranquility will continue to reign in our country and among our supportive and friendly people.
