Press Release: Cuba calls on dialogue and respect for international law to promote the development of diplomatic relations of the countries accredited to the United Nations.

New York, 17 January 2018.During her address to the Committee on Relations with the Host Country of the United Nations, the Cuban representative, Second Secretary Indira Guardia González, once again denounced that the policies to apply movement restrictions to diplomats from different countries accredited to the United Nations, including Cuba, are unjust, selective, discriminatory, politically motivated, and openly contravene the obligations of the Host Country contained in the Headquarters Agreement and in the customary norms of Diplomatic Law.

On behalf of Cuba, she called for dialogue and respect for international law in order to greatly contribute to improved diplomatic relations of the countries accredited to the United Nations, within a framework of security and strict compliance with the provisions of the Vienna Conventions and the Agreement between the United Nations and the United States concerning the Headquarters of the Organization
