New York, 21 June 2018. On the afternoon of June 19, a representation of the Black Caucus of New Jersey Legislative Assembly held a fraternal meeting with the Permanent Representative of Cuba to the United Nations, Ambassador Anayansi Rodriguez Camejo.

The Permanent Representative of Cuba provided visitors with an update on the results of the recent general elections process in the Caribbean nation, as well as details of recent achievements in terms of promotion of women's rights, education and health.

Both sides also reviewed some proposals and possibilities for cooperation between Cuba and the State of New Jersey.

The Black Caucus of New Jersey Legislative Assembly was founded in 1979.  It focuses on promoting and advocating the rights of African-American citizens, women and other minorities and vulnerable population sectors in that State.
