New York, November 28, 2017. With an emotional Political-Cultural Ceremony, the members of the Permanent Mission of Cuba to the United Nations pay homage to the undefeated Commander-in-Chief and Historical Leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz, in the first anniversary of his physical disappearance.
The ceremony, which counted with the special participation of the children and young people of the Mission, who paid respect to the Commander-in-Chief and to the continuity of his work, was also attended by representatives of the solidarity movement with Cuba in New York and representatives of the permanent missions of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of our America. (ALBA).
Rodriguez Abascal referred to the main events of the Cuban Revolution from the attack to the Moncada Barracks to the Battle of Ideas, the landing of the Granma yacht, the clandestine struggle, the declaration of the socialist nature of the Revolution, the Literacy Campaign, as well as the internationalist solidarity and cooperation with the underdeveloped nations of the world.
To conclude, the Cuban diplomat reiterated the firm commitment of the members of the Cuban Mission not to let the example and ideas of the Commander die and reaffirmed to those present that the Cuban Revolution will continue its unstoppable march, with confidence and optimism and with the disinterested and incomparable support of all the friends of Cuba.
