Press Release: GRULAC observes a minute of silence to the memory of the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution

New York, 30 November 2016.- Starting its monthly meeting, the members of the Group of Latin America and the Caribbean to the United Nations (GRULAC), observed a minute of silence to the memory of the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz.

Within this framework, Ambassador Ana Silvia Rodríguez Abascal, Charge D’Affaires a.i. referred to the impact caused by such painful loss for the Cuban nation and for the world, and thanked group members for their expressions of support and condolences dedicated to the people and Government of Cuba.

The condolence book placed at the Cuban Mission to the United Nations, until next Sunday 4 December, has been already signed by many Ambassadors and representatives of the Permanent Missions, members of GRULAC, who have written their wholehearted and condolence messages on the physical disappearance of the leader of the Cuban Revolution.
