Dr. Carlos Pérez Díaz, President of the Cuban Red Cross, met with officials from the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) at the organization's headquarters in this Swiss city.
The President of the Cuban Red Cross expressed his gratitude for the significant support and assistance provided to Cuba, particularly in the face of natural disasters. He also thanked the ICRC for the training courses offered to the hundreds of Cuban volunteers who are part of the Red Cross.
For her part, Sophie Orr, Head of Institutional Preparedness, Crisis Response, and Learning at the ICRC, reiterated the organization's commitment to continue strengthening the excellent working relationship and cooperation with Cuba.
Other ICRC officials, particularly from the Americas region, and representatives from the Cuban Mission in Geneva also participated in the meeting.
