Professor Leonel Alvarado of Massey University as jury in Casa de las Américas Literature Award 2017.

Wellington, January 17, 2017. -Professor Dr. Leonel Alvarado of Massey University in Palmerston North has been invited to participate as a member of the jury for Casa de las Américas Literature Award, in the category of poetry.

The exceptional Honduran poet and academic has among his works: "Driving with Neruda to the Fish 'n' Chips", "Xibalbá, Texas" and "Retratos mal hablados". The last one won a special mention in the category of poetry in Casa de las Américas Award 2013.

The Award ceremony is scheduled for Thursday, January 26 in the Sala Che Guevara at Casa de las Américas, witness of that event during the 58 editions of the contest.
