The call to the II Culinary Workshop Cuba Sabe was delivered on this day to the top executive of the Culinary Association of Azerbaijan.
In a meeting held in Baku, the Cuban ambassador Alfredo Nieves Portuondo and the consul, Alina Quesada Rodríguez, invited the executive director, Farkhad Ashurbeyli, the director of international relations, Rufat Aliyarov, and all members of the association, to participate in this event gastronomic to be held in Havana from January 9 to 11, 2020.
Cuban diplomats explained that "Cuba Sabe" aims to promote the values of Cuban cuisine in its history, tradition and modernity.
The event, said the ambassador, is organized by the agency Paradiso, promoter of cultural tourism on the Island, together with the National Council of Cultural Heritage, the Culinary Federation of Cuba and its associations of bartenders and sommeliers.
He also commented that the Ministries of Culture and Tourism, as well as the Spanish tourism chain Iberoestar, sponsor the workshop.
By 2020, the organizers of Cuba Sabe have proposed to link the gastronomic practice with the works of relevant Cuban artists of the plastic.
For his part, Farkhad Ashurbeyli thanked the invitation and said he will work for chefs from Azerbaijan to join the more than 200 confirmed participants from Italy, Spain, Mexico, the United States and Cuba, among other nations.
