Promotes Haragvi's newspaper campaign of solidarity and humanitarian aid to Cuba to counteract the effects of the blockade on the island.

Nicosia, Cyprus, March 4, 2026. The newspaper of the Progressive Party of the Working People (AKEL) published in its pages the campaign “By the Side of the Cuban People," shared by the Cyprus-Cuba Friendship Association and Almyra Publishing, to provide aid to the island and counteract the economic, financial, and commercial blockade policy for more than sixty years.

“In a period in which the Cuban people continue to suffer the consequences of the prolonged economic blockade, Almyra Editions joins forces with the Cyprus-Cuba Friendship Association to support the sending of humanitarian aid to Cuba,” the note specifies.

In the context of this initiative, part of the income generated from the sale of two widely known editions will be allocated to finance the purchase of necessary supplies for their shipment to the largest of the Antilles.

The call promotes that from the book "Historia de Cuba," 50% of the net income will be allocated to the aforementioned Friendship Association until the edition is sold out, and from the book "¡No pasarán! – No pasarán," 50% of the net income obtained from February 25, 2026, and throughout the month of March will be destined for the same purpose.

The campaign clarifies that orders can be placed through Ediciones Almyra's pages on social media, with free shipping throughout the territory of Cyprus. The support of the association will also be valid to guarantee purchases in all bookstores in Cyprus and Greece, thus reinforcing active solidarity with the Cuban people.
