St George, February 2nd. At the headquarters of the Foreign Ministry, Cuban Ambassador Ivette Martínez was received by the Director for Latin American and Caribbean Affairs, Cyrilla Steele. In an extended but productive exchange, the diplomats reviewed the status of the Memorandums of Understanding for bilateral collaboration in various areas.
Ms. Steele referred to the good state of bilateral relations and their expressed collaboration and support for Cuba in multilateral frameworks. The Cuban diplomat reiterated gratitude for Grenada's vote in the Cuban resolution against the Blockade and the public and positive positions of Prime Minister Dickon Mitchel towards Cuba.
The diplomat expressed her gratitude for the invitations received for the activities on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Independence and the pleasant atmosphere generated in the country by the national celebration.
