Athens, Greece February 7. An attractive meeting was held by the Greek tour operator Cosmorama Ltd, at the Art Café in Athens, where a hundred travel agents gathered, with the aim of knowing and promoting the enriching Cuban destination, admired worldwide so much for both its unique natural beauties, as for its renowned historical sites, and especially for the hospitality of its peaceful, polite, and hospitable people.
Elizabeth Rivas, executive of the MeliaCuba chain, as well as executives of Cosmorama Ltd, one of the 10 tour operators that promote Cuba destination in this brother country, took the floor, and presented in an interesting and graphic way different materials about Cuba, its people, its tourist and natural sites throughout the country and also the squares, museums, monuments and historical sites that keep the memory of the heroic struggles of the Cuban people.
The counsellor of the Cuban Embassy in Greece José Oriol Marrero Martinez greeted the event on behalf of the mission, thanked the interest in our country, commented on the historical ties between Cuba and Greece. He commented that José Martí spoke in his Works, or translated, several Greek motifs. He explained the importance of cultural exchanges between Cuba and Greece and the common values that unite the two peoples.
On February 5th there had also been a similar meeting in Thessaloniki, northern Greece, home of the upcoming Philoxenia 2020 tourism fair.
