Athens, 31 January. Travel agencies from Greece promoting the destination Cuba held a working meeting at the Embassy of Cuba in Athens with Ambassador Zelmys Maria Dominguez Cortina and councillor/consul José Oriol Marrero Martinez.
The results of the last 11 years, current trends, and new actions underway, as well as possible ones, were reported and analyzed to continue to grow in the necessary promotion of Cuba's destination in Greece, and in the cultural exchange between the two brothers peoples.
The Greeks go more to Cuba today, they go as tourists, they go to work in the agricultural brigades, they go to the First of May and there is strong potential to develop. All travel agencies promoting the destination of Cuba in Greece were thanked, which 100% ratified their employment contracts with the Cuban Consulate in Athens by 2020, while new agencies have been incorporated. Today there are 10 travel agencies in the Hellenic Republic that promote Cuban destiny.
They were further explained the effects of the unjust economic, commercial and financial blockade of the United States against Cuba, its current upsurge, existing mechanisms to counteract its extraterritorial effects, as well as campaigns against Cuban Revolution.
It was a useful exchange that helped strengthen the relationship between travel agencies and the diplomatic mission for the common goal of promoting Cuba destiny, one of the safest and most beautiful in the world.
