In the presence of the representative of the Minister of Health of Timor-Leste, Mr. Narciso Fernandes; the leadership of the Cuban Medical Brigade; the Timorese doctors who passed the Pediatrics course organized by the Higher School of Medicine; and a group of collaborators, Ambassador Alina Aldama gave a presentation on the current situation facing the Cuban people following the intensification of the blockade due to the imposition of this year's Executive Orders by US President Donald Trump. She also noted that this situation has been compounded by the recent manipulations and accusations against Army General Raúl Castro Ruz.
In light of the above, the document issued by the Cuban revolutionary government was read aloud. It reiterated that the arguments presented against Army General Raúl Castro constitute blatant hypocrisy, aimed at finding a pretext to attack a country characterized by its solidarity, internationalism, and generosity, offering what it has and demonstrating great resilience. Furthermore, it emphasized that the Cuban people are prepared to defend their sovereignty to the very end.
