Reaffirmed the positive state of Cuba-Jamaica relations

Cuban Ambassador to Jamaica, H.E Mrs Inés Fors Fernández, was received at the Jamaican Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade by the Director of the Caribbean and Americas Departament, Ms Marsha Coore Lobban, to review the main issues of the bilateral agenda.

Kingston, Jamaica, 16 January 2020. Cuban Ambassador to Jamaica, H.E Mrs Inés Fors Fernández, was received at the Jamaican Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade by the Director of the Caribbean and  Americas Department, Ms Marsha Coore Lobban, to review the main issues of the bilateral agenda.

During the meeting, which took place in a fraternal, friendly atmosphere, the two diplomats reaffirmed the positive state of relations between the two countries and stated the willingness of their respective Governments to continue to strengthen and diversify bilateral cooperation, and that established within the framework of Cuba-Caricom agreements.

The Cuban Ambassador took the opportunity to thank the traditional stance of Jamaica in supporting the international community's demand to put an end to the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States on Cuba, as well as the message sent recently by the Prime Minister of Jamaica to the President of the Republic of Cuba, on the occasion of the 61st Anniversary of the Triumph of the Revolution.
