The Bicentennial Congress of the Peoples of the World, which will be held these days in the City of Caracas, Venezuela, began.
Delegates from social organizations from Venezuela and different countries around the world have come to Caracas. With all the biosecurity measures to guarantee the health of the attendees, the Congress is also attended by intellectuals, artists and government delegates.
In this context, the Network of Artists and Intellectuals in Defense of Humanity (REDH) held its first conversation in which Lamprini Thoma and Evangelino (Vaguelis) Gonatas from the Network chapter in Greece, Carol Delgado from Venezuela and Raúl Romero from Chapter of the Network in Mexico.
The conversation revolved around the struggle waged by the peoples, in the case of Greece, who in Lamprini's words "are more closely related to Latin America than to other European countries." And it is that, in the countries of the global south, the struggle for emancipation and against imperialism generate solidarity articulations and dialogues. For Evangelino, Venezuela and Cuba are a reference in these struggles and that is why they have traveled from Greece to continue showing solidarity with the Bolivarian revolution.
During these days, the Network will have more face-to-face and virtual conversations in which people from Peru, Chile, Mexico, Cuba, USA, Spain, among others, will be participating.
